Frames From The Wild: is our bi-annual wildlife photography exhibition organized and hosted by Wild By Nature. Designed to celebrate ethical storytelling and fieldcraft, this showcase transforms our exclusive gallery space into a vibrant community stage, highlighting breath-taking imagery from the natural world.

 

A Space for Unseen Stories

Every great wildlife photograph begins with patience and an eye for the wild. Yet, many incredible images remain locked on memory cards or lost in the endless scroll of social media. 

Our bi-annual exhibition—hosted at the Art At Central Gallery in Kolkata—is built to change that

 

Everyone from emerging photographers to passionate hobbyists are invited to step forward and display their work. 

 

Frames From The Wild goes beyond a standard exhibition; it is a dedicated platform designed to bring hidden talent and local conservation-minded storytelling to the forefront.

Our Very First Exhibition held by Wild By Nature at our gallery On the  14-15th of February  2026

Our second edition which recently concluded in June. It was once again held at our exclusive gallery Art at Central. 

Visual Wilderness: Wild By Nature Celebrates "Frames from the Wild – Edition II"

KOLKATA — The heart of the city recently transformed into a vibrant sanctuary for nature lovers. Our exclusive gallery Art at Central proudly concluded Frames from the Wild – Edition II, a premier wildlife photography exhibition that brought the raw, untouched beauty of the natural world straight to Kolkata.

The event served as a major convergence point for passionate travellers, visual storytellers, and conservation enthusiasts alike.

 

A Global Safari Under One Roof.

The exhibition showcased an astonishing diversity of life, captured through the lenses of more than 60 different artists and photographers. With more than 700+ entries received it was a tough call. Visitors were taken on a visual journey across the globe, exploring multiple specialized genres of wildlife photography:

  • Mammals: Majestic apex predators and intimate moments of terrestrial wildlife.

  • Avian: Breath-taking, high-speed action shots of rare and migratory birds.

  • Macro: A mesmerising look into the hidden, intricate world of tiny insects and flora.

  • Marine: Captivating glimpses into the deep blue, documenting mysterious aquatic ecosystems.

Dialogue for Change: Photography as a Conservation Tool

In addition to the visual displays, the exhibition hosted a critical intellectual exchange. A highlight of the event was an insightful panel discussion featuring the Chief Conservator of Forests. The session focused deeply on:

  • The Role of Imagery: How impactful wildlife photography bridges the gap between urban citizens and remote ecosystems.

  • Policy & Protection: How visual documentation aids forest departments in tracking biodiversity and raising awareness about endangered habitats.

  • Ethical Photography: The vital responsibility of travellers and photographers to respect wildlife boundaries while capturing their stories.

Masterclasses on the Premises: Exclusive Workshops

Beyond the panels, the gallery premises served as an educational hub for budding creators, hosting two exclusive interactive workshops led by industry maestros:

  • Marine Photography with Samya Sengupta: A deep-dive session exploring the technicalities, equipment challenges, and breath-taking artistry required to document underwater ecosystems.

  • Creative Wildlife Photography with Swaroop Singha Roy: An inspiring masterclass focused on visual storytelling, framing, and unique artistic perspectives to make raw wildlife imagery stand out.

A Gathering of Wilderness Enthusiasts

The gallery buzz demonstrated a shared love for travel and exploration. The event attracted a vibrant cross-section of society, including:

  • Business people looking to support conservation art.

  • Local artists and creative minds exchanging technical insights.
